An Evening of Photography, Creativity, Conversation & Ikigai
The idea behind the exhibition was never simply to put photographs on a wall.
I wanted to create an evening where people could spend time with the work, read the stories behind it, meet other creative people, have a glass of wine, and stay long enough for real conversations to happen.
Throughout the night, guests moved between the photographs, written reflections, book table, letter-writing station, wine and bites, and conversations with people they had just met.
The Photography Exhibition
The work included sunsets, ocean scenes, cities, street photography, black-and-white photography, architecture, people, shadows, reflections, and moments that can easily disappear if no one stops to notice them.
The Book Launch
The exhibition also became the official launch of my first book,
I Found My Ikigai, It’s Photography. What’s Yours?
The book combines photography and short reflections around creativity, courage, identity, noticing, changing direction, and the process of returning to the parts of yourself you may have stopped listening to.
Despite the title, it is not really a book about how to become a photographer.
Photography was simply the thing that brought me back to myself.
